Pet of The Week: Lorelei (8/20/2025)
August 20, 2025PET OF THE WEEK
When Lorelei first arrived at the SPCA, she was scared, angry, and unsure of the world around her. With time, patience, and lots of gentle socialization, she has blossomed into a truly sweet girl who now seeks out love and attention. From hiding in her carrier and playing paper shredder with hands that dared to touch her - this sweet girl now seeks out attention and even drools with comfort when getting loved on.
Lorelai still prefers a nice, cozy hiding spot and sometimes runs out of “kitty minutes,” so she’ll do best in a calm home with experienced cat owners who understand her boundaries. But when she feels safe? She absolutely adores being pet, and once you start petting her and see her happy drools, we promise you’ll be in love.
This gorgeous long-haired beauty will also need someone to help keep an eye on her fur so she can stay healthy and tangle-free. In return, she’ll offer purrs, head bumps, and the sweetest little meows you’ve ever heard.
Lorelei has come such a long way since her fearful first days, and now she’s ready to meet the patient, loving family she deserves. Could that be you? Given the amount of work it took to earn her trust, we ask that you have an approved adoption application before taking her to a meet and greet room. If you think Lorelei might be the perfect new companion, apply today at spcahancockcounty.org/adopt.
