  • Kick off the holiday season with one of Bar Harbor's most beloved traditions! Spend the morning shopping incredible early bird specials at participating downtown businesses while wearing your favorite pajamas, then gather downtown for the annual Bed Races.

    • When: Saturday, November 14, 2026
      • Early Bird Shopping: 6:00 AM–12:00 PM
      • Bed Races: 10:00 AM
    • Where: Downtown Bar Harbor
    • Admission: Free to attend. Registration is required for Bed Race participants.

  • 6:00 am - 12:00 pm

  • Get up early and shop local at participating businesses to get a head start on your holiday shopping (or pick up something special just for you)! Wearing your pajamas can earn additional savings with some of the participants. Scroll down to find a list of participating locations and offers.

  • Raffle Alert!

    Bring your receipts from participating businesses to the Chamber’s Information Center by noon on Saturday, November 14th for a chance to be entered into our Raffle!

  • Watch as teams from area businesses and organizations race decorated beds down Cottage Street. The race starts in front of The 1932 Criterion Theatre.
