Oli’s Trolley Doubles Charitable Giving, Partners With Bar Harbor Chamber and Bar Harbor Food Pantry to “Fill the Trolley”

Owner Do Good Group reinvests summer profits into charitable contributions with a future goal of donating $1M in annual donations.

BAR HARBOR, Maine (Oct. 4, 2026). As the summer season comes to a close, Oli’s Trolley and the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce are teaming up to launch a Month of Giving and are encouraging the Bar Harbor and Mount Desert Island community to “Fill the Trolley” with donations.

From Oct. 4 - 24, community members can drop off donations at 8 collection bins located throughout Bar Harbor. On Oct. 24, a trolley will collect the donations and deliver them to the Bar Harbor Food Pantry.

“As many seasonal businesses, visitors and workers prepare to close for the year, this is the perfect opportunity to prevent food waste and give back,” said Lizz Sturm, CEO of Oli’s Trolley. “Our goal is simple: fill the trolley and support families who need it most.”
“In Bar Harbor, community isn’t just where we live, it’s how we show up for one another,” said Everal Eaton, executive director of the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce. “We’re proud to join Oli’s Trolley and the Bar Harbor Food Pantry this October to help meet the growing need in our community.”
“We’re so grateful for the continuing support from Oli’s Trolley and our neighbors,” said Emily Shubert Burke, executive director of the Bar Harbor Food Pantry. “This generosity makes it possible for us to be here for every family who walks through our doors year-round.”
In addition to the community donation drive, Oli’s Trolley will donate $40,000 this year to local nonprofits across Mount Desert Island. The contribution doubles the company’s charitable giving from last year while expanding its network of nonprofit partners to include three new organizations. These new organizations will be announced on a weekly basis throughout October.

Oli’s Trolley is owned by Do Good Group, a company David Engle founded because he felt too many businesses were built to put money in investors’ pockets. Do Good Group turns that around by donating a portion of profits to local charities. Oli’s Trolley became its first business in August 2025 giving $20,000 in donations its first year.

“Do Good Group is simple: I want to donate at least $1M annually to Maine based organizations and create 1,000 jobs in Maine.” said David Engle, CEO of Do Good Group, parent company to

Oli’s Trolley. “We’re building toward that goal by investing in more Maine businesses, growing them and creating more opportunities to give back to the communities where we operate. And, as we keep growing, I hope we’ll have an even bigger donation goal to chase one day.”
