Shift your holiday season into high gear as Santa Claus makes his annual appearance in downtown Bar Harbor. After enjoying some holiday cheer with friends and family at the MDI YMCA, take care of your holiday shopping at the Midnight Madness Sale!

Santa Claus in Bar Harbor

4:30 - 5:30 pm

Guests are invited to Bar Harbor's annual Village Holidays celebration on the Village Green starting at 4:30 pm. Free hot cocoa will be available and everyone can join in the Christmas caroling as we get ready for Santa Claus's arrival at 5:00 p.m. Once Santa arrives he'll light the town Christmas tree and offer a special reading of ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.

5:30 - 7:00 pm

Santa Claus will be at the MDI YMCA until 7:00 p.m., where children and families will have a chance to create some holiday crafts or take part in fun activities provided by local businesses. There will be an ornament station, cookie decorating, and children’s books to read or purchase. Everyone will also have the opportunity to have their picture taken with Kris Kringle himself. 

Midnight Madness Sale

Starting at 8:00 p.m., the annual Midnight Madness Sale will offer an exciting night of holiday shopping with a variety of discounts at local shops. A list of participating retailers will be listed below as shops sign up. Check back for the complete list after November 23rd!
