Webster, the program features contemporary settings of poetry by writers including Emily Dickinson, Sara Teasdale, and Francis Ledwidge, brought to life through the works of acclaimed composers like Susan LaBarr, Frank Ticheli, Jacob Narverud, Jennifer Lucy Cook, and Bryan Sharpe. Each piece invites listeners into a distinct moment in time—moments that shimmer with beauty, ache with memory, and pulse with urgency: "August" (Jacob Narverud) and "Sweetheart of the Sun" (Eric William Barnum) capture fleeting summer light and the delicate threshold between abundance and loss.
