Core Principles: Exercise Class
with Dani Robbins. Why do we exercise? Where does it come from? This class will invite the entire social-emotional being into the room as we search for the potential for self-care in movement. We will sample-study multiple forms--yoga, pilates, Qi Gong, post-modern dance, Alexander Technique, and Feldenkrais--exploring these forms not as experts, but as curious movers. How have these things informed the cultural phenomenon of the “fitness class” as we know it? We will become strong, present, open, and ready as we move through questioning.
