• Pet of the Week - Morpheus

    PET OF THE WEEK

Big cat. Big opinions. Bigger personality.

Let us introduce you to Morpheus - a big ball of personality and mild chaos. He recently underwent surgery to correct a condition called entropion, where his eyelids turned inward. We tried treating it with daily medication, but we valued our lives and opted for a surgery that could resolve his discomfort. Now that he’s healing up, he’s back to doing what he does best: staring into your soul and making us think an earthquake is happening when he’s just hunting a toy mouse.

Morpheus plays tough, loves hard (on his terms), and makes sure you know who's in charge. Spoiler: it's him. He's the kind of cat who likes his play sessions intense and has no respect for your personal space. He gives hugs.

What does a potential adopter need to know about Morph?

    • Dogs? He has filed a formal complaint. Hard pass.

    • Cats? Maybe. If they can keep up with his WWE SmackDown style of play.

    • Humans? Yes, especially the ones who get his vibe - independent, a little spicy, and not afraid of a cat with opinions.

Morpheus isn’t for everyone, but if you're someone who respects a strong-willed, slightly dramatic, and deeply charming feline, he might just be your perfect match.

Morpheus is available for adoption at the SPCA of Hancock County! Come visit him (if you dare) at 141 Bar Harbor Road in Trenton, or read more about him on our website: https://www.spcahancockcounty.org/ .
