Zen Meditation: Drop-In Group
Registration is not required. Please arrive a few minutes early to park and settle in. The way of Zen is very simple: how one keeps one's mind, moment after moment after moment. It is not "tuning out" or creating a ?blissed out? state. Instead Zen encourages us to "tune in" and realize the miracle of being alive right in this moment, whatever it holds. Our weekly sessions are Zen practice stripped down to the basics. There is no chanting or ritual, just seated and walking meditation, followed by a short teaching sharing the wisdom of ancient and contemporary Zen Masters (including the Buddha himself). All levels of experience, including none, are welcome, and instruction is enthusiastically offered to beginners. Meditation cushions and chairs are provided.
