Breath and Gesture
DescriptionInstructor: DaniThis class is open to individuals of all levels of movement training looking for a simple but thorough contemporary dance class. We will begin with a warm-up focused on anatomical structures, touching upon various somatic practices that will inform our larger, more coordinated movement patterning. We will work to strengthen, stretch, and articulate the body as we move with a sense of togetherness, community, and rigorous play. Learning movement phrases that shift weight and direction, moving in and out of the floor, sharing weight with others, and improvising movement will be a part of this class. Come share!
