A local favorite since 1986, Galyn's is a full-service restaurant offering a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere, attentive service, and consistently well-prepared food. Galyn's menu features fresh fish and native seafood, salads, steaks, chicken, and vegetarian offerings. An extensive wine list, a nice selection of Maine-made beers, and hand-crafted cocktails complement Galyn's food offerings.

The Galyn's building dates back to the 1880s when it was built as a boarding house for local seafarers. Today, Galyn's features five pleasant dining rooms on the first and second floors, all adorned with original fine art paintings. Tucked upstairs is the cozy Galley Lounge which was created by local craftsmen using materials salvaged from island landmarks and estates.

Walk-ins are welcome. Reservations are accepted no more than two weeks prior to the reservation date. Please note that we have very limited seating for parties over four and we cannot accept parties over eight.

Galyn's is located at 17 Main Street, just up from the Bar Harbor town pier, overlooking Agamont Park.
