Guitarist George Rossi has been playing music for more than fifty years. Join him at the Jesup Memorial Library on Sunday, Jan. 6 at 2 p.m. for his concert “Cover to Cover” which features some of his favorite tunes on the guitar and harmonica. This concert is part of the Sundays at the Jesup Winter Concert Series.
Rossi’s concert will feature music that has influenced him and those of his generation, who came of age in the ‘60s. His musical journey will cover music from every decade from the ‘60s until today. Rossi says that during the concert “hand claps, toe taps, and singing along are encouraged.”
Rossi, who is originally from Long Island, NY, plays music for residents at Birch Bay Village, patients at Northern Light Maine Coast Hospital and other venues around the area. He is also a member of the Big Moose Contra Dance Band, and play at the monthly contra dance at the Jesup Memorial Library.
This concert is free and open to the public. The other concerts in the Sundays at the Jesup Winter Concert Series are: theater classics with Kate Hall on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m., classical with a modern twist with Ed Liu and Basile Tarchini on Sunday, March 24 at 2 p.m. and jazzy blues and bluesy jazz with the Phil Kell Quartet.
