Ceramic Fairy Houses

Description

This is a 2 session class.

Starting with stoneware clay, the first session we will use pre rolled slabs of stoneware clay to form and decorate your own fairy house. There may be  time to include making some ponds,mushrooms,  tables, chairs or other items.  

Sunday August 22, 2021  1-4 Masks and Distancing

After drying these will be fired for you in a kiln and be ready to be glazed.

The second session is decorating with the colorful glazes. Kim Nadel will explain and show samples of different techniques.  There will also be unglazed houses available to purchase to glaze yourself as well as woodland creatures, fairies and other items to complete your fairy garden. 

After the glaze is fired they will be ready for pick up in approximately a week.

ages 7 -10 need adult supervision.  Sunday August 29, 2021,  1-4 pm
