The amazing Flutist, Allison Kiger will be joined by equally astounding pianist, Alexandra Beliakovich on Sunday, July 7, 8 pm at the Bar Harbor Congregational Church. Allison Kiger and Alexandra Beliakovich will perform American Classics in a program that pays tribute to great American classical music composers. Special guest, Clarinetist Eric Thomas will join them as well in a program of works by Piston, Barber, Copland, Gershwin, and Valerie Coleman. Describing Ms. Kiger’s playing, Jeffrey Williams of the New York Concert Reviewwrote: “…sparkling…displayed virtuosity with practiced ease…” Excerpts from Valerie Coleman's piece based on Langston Hughes' poems will be read prior to her compositions.
