Abstracting the Landscape w/Philip Frey

Abstracting the Landscape: Philip Frey will present another illuminating online painting workshop. The overall arc of the course is to improve the student’s painting skills through a focus on the understanding and application of: dynamic design, color theory, direct observation and using reference photos, and addressing each student’s challenges and aspirations as a painter. The workshop will include individual painting time, live demos, individual assistance and group critiques. For intermediate and advanced skill levels. To participate, students will need: supplies from the supply list; a laptop, tablet or desktop computer with a web cam and microphone; high speed internet connection; the ability to take photographs of your work (via a tablet or smart phone) and still life material with lighting. A detailed instruction list will be supplied after registration. 10 students maximum.
