The Kingdom of Bhutan in Southern Asia is situated in the Eastern Himalayan Mountains in between Tibet and India. In the fall of 2017, Dan DeLuca, a teacher and interpreter, traveled to this remote country. Now, join DeLuca, at the Jesup Memorial Library on Friday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. as he shares stories and pictures from his time in the Land of the Thunder Dragon. Bhutan is the only carbon neutral country in the world and has popularized the idea of gross national happiness, an index which is used to measure the collective happiness and well-being of a population.
