Art In The Park
The History of Art In The Park
For more than seven decades, Art in the Park has brought artists and art lovers together in the heart of downtown Bar Harbor. Hosted by the Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce, this longstanding summer tradition transforms the Village Green into an outdoor gallery showcasing the work of talented artists from Maine and beyond.
Visitors can stroll through the park, meet participating artists, explore original artwork, and purchase pieces directly from the creators, all surrounded by the shops, restaurants, and scenery of downtown Bar Harbor.
As Bar Harbor’s longest-running art show, Art in the Park has been part of the community for generations and continues a long tradition of celebrating the arts on Mount Desert Island.
