Events and Membership Coordinator
The Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce is looking for an organized and outgoing individual to become its Events and Membership Coordinator. The Events and Membership Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination of the Chamber’s events program as well as serving in a key role in membership growth and retention.
The qualified applicant must be highly organized, skilled at time management, have proficiency with technology, and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Events and Membership Coordinator must be able to anticipate project needs, discern work priorities, meet deadlines, work collaboratively, and be willing to work some evenings and weekends. A successful candidate must also be able to provide outstanding customer service, be a positive, enthusiastic professional, and be able to build relationships with our members and event participants.

The Bar Harbor Chamber of Commerce represents nearly 400 independent businesses and is dedicated to creating and maintaining a thriving economic environment for Bar Harbor, Mount Desert Island, and Hancock County. The Chamber currently has a full-time staff of four people and a seasonal staff of five who assist more than 100,000 visitors at its welcome center and information kiosk. The Chamber produces and distributes approximately 100,000 copies of its visitor guidebook annually. The Chamber has more than 100,000 social media followers and its website receives 1 million pageviews annually.
