This seasonal offering taught by Jodi Sargent will utilize techniques to manipulate muscle and fascia (connective tissue) to release tension in the body, and deepen the breath. Expect to use a variety of props including tennis balls and switch between shorter and longer held postures during this 60-minute class. The practice is intended to help release areas commonly tight, restore some range of motion, invite observation and body awareness, and allow time to simply be. All practices rely on the breath as a profound tool to “turn on” our parasympathetic nervous system to do what it was designed for --- aid our ability to rest, digest, and recover.
