Anne O’Regan has twice thru-hiked America’s oldest long-distance hiking trail, Vermont’s Long Trail. The 272-mile trail follows the main ridge of the Green Mountains from the Massachusetts-Vermont state line to the Canadian border, crossing Vermont’s highest peaks. Join O’Regan at the Jesup Memorial Library on Wednesday, July 18 at 7 p.m. as she shares stories and pictures from the trail and her hikes.
O’Regan spent most of her adult life living and working in downtown Boston, then left corporate America behind to venture west to walk the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). She has thru-hiked other long trails, including the Colorado Trail and the John Muir. O’Regan wrote about her time thru-hiking the PCT in her book “Tamed: A City Girl Walks from Canada to Mexico on the Pacific Crest Trail.” Copies of her book will be on sale that night.
