Punch needle embroidery is a needle art by punching a needle through a piece of woven fabric, the weave of the fabric holds the yarn to form loops. The stitches are known as the front side and the loops on the back as the backside. This is a creative embroidery technique beginners and experienced fiber artists love to do. It's easy to get started! You can make all sorts of projects, including wall hangings, pillows, and rugs and more. It’s like painting or drawing with yarn! I encourage you to take inspiration from artists you love, music, movies, the possibilities are endless. In this workshop I will also be teaching you how to finish the pieces for a professional look that you wont believe you made yourself. This class will be taught by Ivory Henry, an artist-in-residence at ArtWaves. Class sessions will run from 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
