Celebrate National Library Week at the Jesup Memorial Library with a day full of bookish crafts. On Friday, April 12 there will be two dedicated craft sessions where you can get hands-on help or you can drop in anytime from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. to make your own craft. The hands-on sessions are from 10:30 to noon and from 3 to 4:30 p.m. and registration is required for these two designated sessions.
First, you can learn how to make your own flowers out of old book pages. Cut out petals and using a glue gun, you will build petal-by-petal own unique flower. The other craft is a Mod Podge craft. Bring in a container or anything else you want to decorate and then using Mod Podge cover the item with discarded book pages or magazine pages. You can bring in a container to Mod Podge into a vase, or maybe decorate a picture frame, bring in anything you want to Mod Podge.
For more information or to sign up for either craft session contact the Jesup at 207-288-4245.
