Have a great time dancing the night away with the Big Moose Band and caller Mike Fay on Saturday, Feb. 22 starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Jesup Memorial Library. You will not want to miss the chance to see the library become a lively dance hall.
From 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., anyone can come and dance for free. Fay will teach you the basic steps and you will be dancing in no time. This is a great time for families and beginners to try contra dancing for the first time and all dancers can stop by to brush up on their contra dance knowledge. From 7:30 p.m. on there is an $8 requested donation per person or $25 per family to help pay the caller. And, as always, kids under 12 can dance for free. Join in on the fun!
The Big Moose Band provides the amazing music that you will dance along with. Big Moose features some of the area’s finest musicians including Ruth Grierson, Keith Davis, Jim Vekasi, Charlie Richardson, Fred Benson, Ed Damm and Anne Damm, among others.
For more information on the dance, contact the Jesup at 207-288-4245.
