Description
Join The Community School for Place-Based Education for a week of foundational fire-building techniques, shelter construction, wildcraft skills, and hands-on wilderness first aid through immersive, place-based learning. Participants will learn from skilled facilitators and local knowledge-keepers: Jesse Snider + Matt Blackman and learn age appropriate wilderness first aid with founder of Wilderness Medicine Leadership LLC., Sarah Adelberg. Come spend the week building confidence, resilience + practical backcountry skills rooted in the landscape around us! Bushcraft + Wild Medicine is designed for ages 8 - 13 years old and is a part of The Community School’s Wonder of Place summer programming week: Monday, July 20th - Friday, July 24th. Cost for the week is $300. Scholarships are available. All proceeds benefit the school’s student scholarship fund.
