Description
This course is designed for individuals who have a basic understanding of the copper foil process and are ready for more creative choice and independence. The longer class time allows for exploration and education beyond just "build it".
The class focuses less on introducing each tool and developing craftsmanship. Students practice more challenging cuts, make intentional decisions about color, transparency and texture, improve fitting and foil consistency, and work toward smoother solder lines and cleaner finished edges.
Students choose from a broader collection of patterns, which might include birds, flowers, insects, mushrooms, animals, Maine-inspired designs and other sculptural suncatchers.
