Friday, December 4, 2026 | Downtown Bar Harbor

As part of Village Holidays, Shop the Madness invites businesses throughout Bar Harbor to stay open for an evening of holiday shopping, special offers, festive experiences, and community celebration.

We are inviting local businesses to join us in making downtown Bar Harbor feel especially festive this year. Whether you offer a special sale, stay open later, serve a holiday treat, create an in-store experience, or simply welcome shoppers through your doors, we?d love to have you participate.

How to Participate

• A special discount or sale
• Extended evening hours
• A holiday-themed product or promotion
• Complimentary treats or refreshments
• An in-store activity or experience
• Giveaways or prizes
• A special menu item, drink, or dining offer
• Another creative way to celebrate the evening

Why Participate?

Shop the Madness is designed to encourage Village Holidays attendees to continue exploring downtown, visiting local businesses, shopping locally, and enjoying Bar Harbor throughout the evening.

Participating businesses will be included in Chamber promotion of Shop the Madness leading up to the event, helping visitors and community members discover where to shop, dine, and celebrate on December 4.

The more businesses that participate, the more there is for everyone to explore!

What We?ll Need From You

When registering, please be prepared to provide:

• Business name
• Business address
• Primary contact information
• Your hours for December 4
• Your Shop the Madness special, promotion, or experience
• Any additional details guests should know

Please submit your information exactly as you would like your offering to appear in event promotions.

Registration Deadline: Friday, November 20th, 2026 at 5pm.

Get Festive!

We also encourage participating businesses to help us make Bar Harbor feel especially festive for Village Holidays.

Decorate your storefront, light up your windows, play some holiday music, dress up your team, or come up with your own way to add to the atmosphere throughout town.
