DESCRIPTION:Still Life Painting in Oil for Teens - School Break Week In this workshop we will demystify painting with oils through the process of creating a still life from start to finish. Students will begin with sketching their still life setup on paper\, then transferring their sketch to canvas. Some topics covered will include basic color theory\, composition\, light and depth. ArtWaves. 1345A Hwy 102 Bar Harbor 207-266-0010 Monday April 18th\, 2022\, from 1:00pm to 4:00pm $65 ($55 for members) To register: https://artwavesmdi.org/event-4754135 Teens of all skill levels ArtWaves will supply all materials\, including a variety of options for the still life set up. Students are welcome to bring additional objects that interest them. Masks\, vax'd (over 5)\, and distancing for staff and participant safety. About the Instructor: Barbara Grise is a multimedia artist and timber-framer by trade. She enjoys working in oil paint\, clay\, metal\, marble and wood. Her favorite subject matter is the human form. When she's not in the studio\, you might find her in the forest\, hiking with her dog.
