DESCRIPTION:In this two-hour workshop\, you'll discover the simple art of stamp making\, a fun and easy way to turn your own designs into something you can print on paper or fabric. You'll learn how to transfer your design\, safely carve the block\, and then ink it up to make your own custom prints. Whether you want to make stamps for cards\, art prints\, or to decorate textiles\, this class will give you the skills you need to get started. \n\n\n\nRecommended for ages 8 and up with an accompanying adult. Registration includes $10 materials fee. \n\n\n\nAbout the Instructor: Juliana Ramirez is a non-toxic printmaker and conservation biologist who works with seabirds during her summers. Inspired by her fieldwork\, she mainly practices relief\, collograph\, and intaglio\, and is currently exploring printing marine debris/found objects from the ecosystems that she finds herself in.
