SUMMARY:PAINTING WITH PASTELS 2 day workshop
DESCRIPTION:Guided from start to finish students will learn the advantages of this intense and versatile  painting medium. The class will be instructed on the fundamentals of \npastels and how to build a strong foundation with both dry and wet underpainting techniques. Students will examine various types of pastel\, paper supports\, and tools. Tuition includes materials and supplies. Students will leave with a set of soft pastels to continue their practice. \n\n\n	\n		\n			July27  - 28 Jul 2024 (2 session workshop) 10 - 1 each day at ArtWaves\n		\n		\n			Meet the Artist:\n			 \n		\n	\n\n\n\n\nRainey is an artist from San Antonio\, Texas. She has been exhibiting her work for 27 years and has been an art educator since 1999. Rainey is a recipient of the Primer Paso Fellowship. In 2008 Rainey was awarded Instructor of the Year and Most Creative Artist\, both by the Southwest School of Art. In 2014 she established House Paint Art School where students of all levels learn to paint in oils and pastels. Rainey is also an instructor at UTSA Southwest.\n\nRainey Rodriguez is an ArtWaves Artist in Residence. Welcome Rainey!
