SUMMARY:Paint Your Own Lupine Illustration with Watercolor
DESCRIPTION:Paint a pre-drawn illustration of lupine\, and learn watercolor techniques! Claire Loon Baldwin\, an illustrator whose clients include Down East Magazine and DK Publishing\, will share her methods for painting Maine's most beloved wildflower. This class is great for total beginners as well as intermediate-level artists.\n\nEach student will receive a line drawing of lupine created by Claire\, on archival Arches watercolor paper\, as well as a palette of premium\, top quality watercolors. Over the three hour class\, students will learn techniques for painting with watercolor\, starting with the basics\, and moving up to more advanced techniques like glazing\, charging\, and blooms. Everyone will leave with a finished watercolor illustration of lupine on archival paper.\n\nAll experience levels and ages are welcome! Children under 13 must have a guardian accompany them. \n\nMeet the Artist:\n\nClaire Loon Baldwin is an illustrator\, designer\, and storyteller inspired by the surreal beauty of nature. For years she worked in national parks as an environmental educator and interpretive ranger. Now she strives to inspire environmental action through art. She recently illustrated Live Free\, Eat Well\, a cookbook by Adam Glick\, through DK Publishing.
