DESCRIPTION:Date: Sunday\, July 14\, 2024 Time: 3 to 6 p.m. Place: Bar Harbor Congregational Church (BHCC)-UCC 29 Mt. Desert Street Refreshments provided by BHCC-UCC. Open Table MDI and BHCC-UCC are co-hosting a concert fundraiser on Sunday\, July 14\, from 3 to 6 pm. Donations will support World Central Kitchen's efforts to feed people in war-torn areas around the world\, and Open Table MDI's efforts to alleviate food insecurity and isolation by feeding individuals and families on MDI. The concert will take place on the front lawn of Bar Harbor Congregational Church. Performers will include the Big Moose Contra Dance Band\, who plays traditional acoustic music and lively dance tunes\; Masanobu Ikemiya\, an award-winning pianist who blends classical and ragtime music\; and musicians from the Baroque Orchestra of Maine\, who feature baroque-period instruments in their superb performances. People of all ages are invited to this exciting concert. Enjoy cool refreshments\, and dance if you want to! Donations will be gratefully received for the music and refreshments and will support feeding people far and near. The event will take place rain or shine.
