DESCRIPTION:Mount Desert Island Hospital is honoring and remembering individuals whose lives have been affected by cancer or other serious illness.  During the month of December\, holiday stars honoring family members and friends are hung on a quilt wall hanging in the hospital lobby.  The quilt was designed and crafted by Hospital Auxiliary member\, Joan Loy-Baxter.  Stars cost $5 and funds raised through the program directly benefit MDI Hospital's Palliative Care program.
