DESCRIPTION:Lap Loom Weaving We will get familiar with lap looms by beginning the process of designing\, warping a loom\, using a shuttle\, and special techniques using our incredibly colorful array of yarns! Sunday\, July 24th\, 2022\, from 1:30pm to 3:30pm\, please arrive early to settle in before class begins. $42 with materials included ($32 for members) ArtWaves 1345A Hwy 102 Bar Harbor 207-266-0010 To Register: https://artwavesmdi.org/event-4879977 Teens/Adults Use our materials or bring your own bits and bobs to embellish your piece. Masks\, vax'd (over 5)\, and distancing for staff and participant safety. About the instructor: Gabrielle is a young illustrator and multimedia artist. She grew up on a small island in Maine\, and consistently finds her art influenced by her upbringing. She worked for the Illustration institute based out of Portland Maine in 2020 producing a short documentary series about how drawing influences thinking. Gabrielle is currently enrolled at College of the Atlantic and is on course to graduate with a study in visual narratives. When she's not drawing or crafting you can find her planning her next cross-country bike tour.
