DESCRIPTION:Join Rob Pollien at ArtWaves studio for an introductory series of structured oil painting exercises. Artists of all experience are welcome\, although the course is recommended for artists new to oil painting or returning after a long absence.\n\n\nStarting with simple value and color painting studies in oil\, we will progress quickly toward more complex painting problems. Attention will be given to reviewing sound studio fundamentals as well as issues that will help the students learn\, grow and become comfortable with the medium.\n\n \n\nMaterials List\n\n \n\nPaint: Titanium White\, cadmium yellow\, yellow ochre\, permanent red violet\, ultramarine blue\, ivory black\n\nTurpenoid\, Gamsol\, or other dorless solvent for brush cleaning\n\nPaper towels\n\nNitrile (or similar) gloves\n\nA few No. 4 & No. 6 natural bristle flat brushes\n\nDisposable or other palette and palette knife\n\nCanvas pad\, 10 sheets 14x18 or similar\n\nDrawing board for your sheets of canvas may be helpful\n\nEasels are provided but if you have a portable easel that you like\, you are welcome to bring it.
