Dr. Benz graduated from Harvard Medical School in 1973 and received his training at Brigham and Women's Hospital and the National Institutes of Health. In addition to serving as president and CEO emeritus of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute\, Dr. Benz is also director emeritus and principal investigator of Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center\, a member of the Governing Board of Dana-Farber/Children's Cancer Center\, a Richard and Susan Smith distinguished professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School\, a clinical hematologist and an active NIH-funded investigator. MDI Hospital's 2018 Annual Meeting will also feature a summary of the past year's accomplishments and financial performance. The organization's new Palliative Care Program and its partnership with the Downeast Substance Treatment Network will be among the topics to be presented.
