Students will start the class at Eagle Lake Carriage Road (Eagle Lake Rd\, Bar Harbor\, ME 04609) with an easy observation walk\, discussing composition and horizon lines. Tools to sketch the landscape will be provided. After a 30 minute lunch break/picnic\, we will reconvene at ArtWaves where fabric will be waiting for us to cut up and sew our sketches. Students can make use of sewing machines\, embroidery materials\, and fabric glue to compose their landscapes. By the end of the class\, students will have a wall hanging or the beginnings of a quilt.
