DESCRIPTION:Painting with Fleece\n\nNeedle felting is a simple needling technique like tattooing with small barbed needles to decorate a wool surface. Here's where you 'paint' with a barbed needle using ArtWaves amazing array of dyed wool\, silk fibers and other embellishments. Needle felting in our spacious studios can be a meditative experience - it's like coloring with sheep's fleece. There will be plenty of designs to choose from that are perfect for people who just want to sample this technique or you can get more complex in your design by using your own photos and more tapping. Along the way\, you get to gain skills\, gain design experience and experiment with all the colors and textures in ArtWaves abundant stash. No skill or experience required for this wow workshop. All materials included to make a few coasters or a framable tapestry. $46 ($36 for members) \n\nUnder 10 welcome with a double digit partner.\n\n \n\nAbout the instructor: Liz Cutler.com My paintings are inspired by a spark\, something that wows me or quietly invites me to linger. I love capturing what transports me to being right there\, to share and return to spectacular moments.\n\nLiz is a founder (2013) of ArtWaves\, where she continues her practice through figure drawing\, teaching\, workshops\, conversational critiques and working in her personal studio at the Bar Harbor Municipal building. Liz is currently theVice president of the Board and throughly enjoys her studio time with students.
