DESCRIPTION:Break Into Oils!\n\nIf you have ever wondered about painting with oils this demystifying oil painting class is for you. This course introduces the materials\, methods\, and tools of oil painting and developing observational skills. Demonstrations on laying out a palette\, working with various paint application techniques\, and color mixing provide students with the fundamentals of the oil medium. Step by step instructions. ArtWaves provides all the materials.\n\n\n\nThe first couple sessions will be getting to know the basic process of how oil paintings are made. Students will start with a simple still life\, where the the talented Instructor Malina will teach the basics of color mixing\, painting mediums\, surface preparation\, and exploration of values and composition. The next 4 weeks will comprise of the students getting to complete an oil painting\, using the processes they learned in the first two weeks. They have been painting for 15 years now\, beginning at a impressive age of 7. Portraiture and limited palette oil paintings are their specialty\, but they love painting anything that is inspirational. Their passion is painting\, also playing guitar\, road trips\, meeting new people\, punk music and being out in nature\, which all inspire them to make art. They love talking and teaching about their passions\, and being able to share this wonderful process with everyone that they can.
