DESCRIPTION:Learn more about new in-home sessions the Mount Desert Nursing Association (MDNA) is providing for friends\, family and caregivers of people with memory loss at the next Age By Design program at the YWCA MDI on Tuesday\, March 17 at 10:30 a.m. This event is happening during the MDI Coffee House event at the YWCA. \n\n \n\nChristine Mild\, the Director of Clinical Services at MDNA\, will speak about what these sessions will provide including training for caregivers\, families and friends caring for someone with memory loss\, Alzheimer's disease or dementia\, offer help and support as well as giving information on resources that might be available in their community. The sessions will also give caregivers a way to share their experiences\, gain skills and build confidence.\n\n \n\nAge By Design is a team of nonprofit organizations who provide a series of educational programs and community gatherings designed to explore life as we age. Age By Design programs are co-sponsored by the Jesup Memorial Library\, Island Connections\, and YWCA. \n\n \n\nThe talk is during the MDI Coffeehouse at the YWCA. The Coffeehouses are on the first and third Tuesday of each month from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Stop by to enjoy complimentary coffee\, tea\, snacks and socializing before the program.\n\n \n\nFor more information about this event\, contact Island Connections at 207-288-4457.
